Welcome to Class 3's Blog
21/4
Hi class 3 I hope you are all keeping safe and well.
As you know I love reading so I have looked at some of the stories available for you to listen to on audible.com. Mr Bardsley will be sending a link to your parents so you will be able to listen to them, maybe you could let us know which ones you like best? 😊
It has been lovely to see some of you on my daily walk around the village with my dog Jasper 🐶
He also helped me to do a 10k charity walk on Saturday for LOROS, we raised nearly £300 which made me feel proud.
Jasper is really enjoying having me at home more, are you enjoying being at home? I would love to hear how you are.

Dear Class 3,
How are you all? I hope you are keeping safe and enjoying this time with your families. I've been popping into school to do a few jobs with the help of Miss Berrington. It is certainly very strange coming into school with the classroom being very very quiet! Are any of you missing school yet?
I've been completing some DIY jobs at home as well as enjoying this glorious weather. I know Miss Berrington has also been enjoying the weather and cooking up some new recipes.
Like Mrs Gil I've also been preparing some of the pictures for our end of year folder. I did smile at the Class photo of you all dressed up in your Tudor robes from our trip.
I look forward to hearing all your stories when we return.

Dear Class 3,
How are you all? What have you been up to?
The weather isn’t meant to be as beautiful as it has been this week with some rain forecast, how are you all managing to keep busy inside? Have any of you been listening to Mrs Egerton’s books she mentioned in her blog?
I’ve baked a cake this week after managing to get my hands on flour! Have any of you been baking or cooking with your family? I would love to see some pictures of what you have been up to!
Keep safe :)

Hi class 3
No sunshine today so Jasper is not happy, he doesn’t like walking in the rain! I did put his bright yellow waterproof coat on him which stopped him getting too wet. Once he found a large puddle he was happy! 🐶 I had to give him a shower when we got home, he was not impressed!
Rainy days are perfect for a bit of artwork, Mr Bardsley has set you a challenge, why not have a go? Paul Klee was influenced by cubism, expressionism and surrealism which means it doesn’t have to be a perfect reflection of you but your interpretation 😉 I may have a try myself.
Have you looked at the Bitesize English lessons? Karim and Hacker and a video clip to help you with sentences. Worth a look 👀
Stay safe and happy

Hi Class 3,
How are you all? It was lovely speaking to you this week. I missed a few of you but shall try again next week when I am in school again. You have been up to so much! Reading encyclopedias, some of the online lessons, making your own McDonald's food, even celebrating a birthday, making lots of Roman artefacts and lots more! I'm now receiving lots of emails from you all - it's great seeing pictures of what you have been up to.
Miss Berrington has tried her hand at hairdressing this week, she had to cut her son's hair!! Have any of you had haircuts while at home? I know I am desperate for one!
I've logged on to TT Rockstars this morning and it is great to see that a few of you are logging on for our tournament with Class 4. It is running all week, so lets see how many points we can score!

It was also one of my neighbours 81st birthday Beardsley's supplied a huge cake 🎂 Which was yummy. we also came out after the queen’s speech to sing we’ll meet again, what did you do to celebrate? Did you make any bunting, flags or cakes? Mr B has put pics on Twitter of the ones sent in, they look amazing, well done 👍

How are you all? What did you do for the VE Day weekend? Thank you for the emails you keep sending - I had lots of pictures of lots of yummy cakes! Keep those emails coming!
Have any of you learnt anything new during lockdown that you've surprised yourself with? I've taken up some embroidery during this time so I might see if I can keep it up during the summer.
Well done on your victory with the TTRS tournament! What a great group effort!

Dear Class 3,
How are you all? What have you been up? Thank you for the emails I have been receiving, it is always nice to have some pictures and read what you have been up to.
I’ve been busy doing lots of jobs at school and have been thinking about photocopying work for your purple folders. I can’t believe the change in your handwriting. It is always interesting to see your work in September and see how it has changed!
Have any of you done any more cooking while you’ve been off? I’ve had lots of lovely pictures of pancakes, cakes, biscuits and more! Keep these pictures coming in.

Hi class 3
I hope you are all well and happy
I haven’t been baking but I have had a huge cake! My son ordered a special cake for my birthday 🎂 It was delicious 😋 It was quite strange to have a birthday and not be able to have a party, luckily it was a lovely sunny day and my neighbours sang Happy birthday to me!
I know some of you will have had birthdays I hope you have had lovely sunny days on your birthdays too.
I have found out how to make a trumpet from a dandelion! Find one with a thick stem, snap of the seed head then split one end, turn one up and blow through the other end and you should hear a trumpet sound! Give it a try ( ask your parents first ) have fun.
I am walking Jasper everyday he looks very curly now but he actually has an appointment booked for June for a much needed haircut, he looks nearly twice as big! I have been trimming my own fringe Has your hair grown long or has someone cut it for you?
Take care and Keep safe

Hi Class 3!
How are you all and what have you been up to?
My fiance and I tried our hand at hair dressing this weekend on each other! We found out it was much trickier than it looked and we were both horrendously nervous throughout doing each other's hair. Neither managed to get the other's hair perfect.....but we both laughed about it in the end!
What have you done recently? It's so nice to see photos of what you have been doing. Keep the emails coming.
Take care and speak soon :)

Hi Class 3,
How are you all? Have you been up to anything exciting? How have you been enjoying the weather? My fiance and I attempted a BBQ at the weekend and it was a DISASTER! We couldn't get it to light and in the end had to switch the oven on to cook our food! Well you learn from your mistakes don't you?
I was having a look on the Times Tables Rock Star website and they are having a competition to see if anyone can get the highest score in studio and create a World Record from it. Take a look on the website with the video - someone got 186 in one minute!
Speak soon!

Hi Class 3,
What a strange week it has been! Gorgeous sunshine to horrible rainy skies and back to school for some of you! The classroom is very different now and we've got a lot of new things to get used to, but it has been nice to see some of your faces smiling back at me! We've all been very busy dropping off more books for you to slowly work through this week - Miss Berrington, Mrs Egerton and myself have all said how nice it has been to see you when we've dropped off things.
Keep the emails and pictures coming in!
