Enabling children to flourish and succeed

St Michael and All Angels CE Primary School Prepares for Reopening with Allison Homes Support

St Michael and All Angels CE Primary School has been a hive of activity as staff, parents, and volunteers came together for a busy INSET day ahead of the school’s reopening.

A fantastic community effort saw the school’s staff, the Rise Central team, parents, and volunteers from Allison Homes work side by side to prepare the school for pupils’ return. From classrooms to outdoor spaces, every corner was organised, tidied, and refreshed, ensuring that children will step back into a vibrant, welcoming environment.

A special thank you goes to the volunteers from Allison Homes, who dedicated their time to transforming the school’s facilities.

They worked tirelessly to:

  • Revamp the library – Sorting through boxes of mixed books and filling every bookcase to create an inspiring space where pupils can immerse themselves in reading.
  • Enhance outdoor areas – Tidying, weeding, and maintaining garden spaces so that EYFS pupils can enjoy outdoor learning and gardening activities from day one.

“We are so grateful for the incredible support from Allison Homes and the wider community,” said Neil Bardsley, Executive Headteacher. “Their time, energy, and teamwork have made a huge difference, and we truly couldn’t have done it without them.”

The school community is now eagerly anticipating the return of staff, students, and families this week. Excitement is also building for the Grand Reopening Event on Friday 5th September, where local businesses, families, and members of the community will be invited to see the transformation first-hand.
